Day +14 BMT

Waiting Dr Goh Y.T to update me......

Dr Goh Y.T came to see me in the afternoon after he had finished his clinic. We had discussion on liver dialysis for Tengku Norbanee to bring down the bilirubin and other toxins in her blood. He honestly told me that the  liver dialysis for Tengku Norbanee will be his first experience in patient who underwent bone marrow transplant. He also explained to me about the complication regarding the risk of bleeding. Two days ago, I have read the editorial review of one journal on liver dialysis using MARS in hepatorenal failure. Some studies have shown benefit but these were small in number.

After had second opinion with Prof Dr Aziz Baba, Dr Azlan and our family, we have decided to proceed with liver dialysis. Hopefully, it will improve the metabolic status and allow more time for liver to recover, InsyaALLAH. Her mental state is slightly better than yesterday. The total white count is 0.6.

To our family members, colleagues and friends, thanks for the continuous supports and prayers for both of us.

Our visitors:
1. Khalid Osman - Radiology, USM
2. Nik Fauriza Nik Lah - Radiology, USM
3. Eddie Islam - Siemens, Malaysia
4. Ayah Zul - Setapak, K.Lumpur
