Day +5 BMT

There is increased fluid accumulation in the abdomen and chest which causing her more breathless especially when she tried to change her position. But, the blood oxygen saturation is still maintained at 96 to 100% (on 30% oxygen through mask). The arterial blood gases are normal. Other parameters, like BP and heart rate  are stable. 

The liver and kidney functions are still impaired. Although there is no improvement, but the good news, it did not progress.  Had bronchoscopy done, but unremarkable. The planned is to reduce the fluid retention by giving her more i.v albumin and lasix. These drugs will help to absorb excess water in the third space (abdominal cavity and pleural space) and drain more urine. The CT scan thorax will be repeated either today or tomorrow to look for lung abnormalities. 

The Hb raised to more than 8 and platelet is 60,000 after blood transfusion. The menstrual bleeding is much less and no more blood in the urine (hematuria). Dr Lim said, she has to keep in the ICU for close observation.
