My sister, Norianee undergoes procedure called harvesting of stem cell. The process will takes about 4 hours. The whole blood in her body will be pass through the machine 4 times. The stem cells and plasma cells are collected, the rest will be returned to her blood. She felt numbness over her body at the beginning of the process, later become less. This is due side effect of chemical used (anti-coagulant citrate) during the process.
Myself having chemotherapy with last dose of IV Cyclophospamide and 2nd dose Cyslosporine A. I'm afraid to take food because feel like to vomit each time after having it. Dietician advice me to take high protein diet such as sardin and tuna, which I don't like it much. She will also provide me some supplement, but not sure whether my stomach can accept it or not.
Not feeling well, vomited many times. Cannot taking food at all, even oral medications. But, having good care from very supportive nurses and doctors here.
Had severe burning sensation deep inside the mouth. I took ice cube and put in my mouth, but it does not help me much. Then, I.V Benedryl and tablet Piriton were given which make goes sleep for few hours. After wake-up, this symptom is gone.
I was told that my sister experienced dizziness and nausea after having 6 hours of harvesting process.

Do take ample time to consume food/drinks suitable to both of you and also enough rest as to sustain the obstacles both of you are going through.Abang Har gave me a very precious advice once , when I was in depression and finally managed to gain better peace of mind and accept things as per His decision by reciting and deeply believing in Surah As-Sharh (better known by us as Alam nashrah) ; translation as follows :
(1) Have We not opened your breast for you?(O Muhammad)
(2) And removed you from your burden.
(3) Which weighed down your back?
(4) And have We not raised high your fame?
(5) Verily , along with every hardship is relief.
(6) Verily , along with every hardship is relief.
(ie. there is one hardship with two reliefs,so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs)
(7) So when you have finished (your occupation) devote yourself to Allah’s worship.
(8) And to your Lord (Alone) turn (all your) intentions and hopes.
